IAMR B.Ed. College
Student Support

From financial aid to enrichment — every student gets a hand where they need one.

Books, scholarships, remedial classes, a student council with real voice, and a calendar that recognises advanced learners — five distinct programmes under one roof.

Financial assistance

Placement-related services are free for both teacher trainees and partner schools. The college covers the full operating cost of placement — Xeroxing, filing, correspondence, campus drives — and is liberal with the placement budget.

Eligible students also receive scholarships from the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

Book bank

A free book bank at the college issues complete sets to enrolled students for the entire session — so the cost of textbooks doesn’t sit between a student and their syllabus.

Student Council

A platform to be heard

The Student Council gives the student body a real voice on campus — and an honest set of duties to the college. Two defined roles anchor it.

Major activities

  • Discipline & assemblies

Maintains discipline, conducts assemblies and college functions, and acts as a steady link between faculty and the student body.

  • Voice for student concerns

Brings problems and difficulties faced by students to the notice of the concerned authorities — a structured route from floor to leadership.

  • Ideas for the college

Expresses considered views on the overall working of the college and how it could be improved — funds are provided as the work demands.

Both ends of the curve

Strugglers and high-flyers — both lifted

Remedial classes

Low-achievers are identified by teachers from class tests, snap tests and the house examination. The cell then runs eight specific measures to lift them.

  • Tutorials and remedial classes targeting the difficult areas of learning
  • Sharper listening and writing skills, plus communication work to overcome language barriers
  • Adequate practice work, individually scoped
  • Additional reading material and simplified notes — quick-revision points prepared by faculty
  • Individual attention from the concerned teacher
  • Friendly environment for motivation and confidence building
  • Open access to teachers during free periods for slow learners
  • Psycho-social counselling for students whose studies are affected by personal or emotional issues

Enrichment programmes

Advanced learners get extra assignments, leadership duties and platforms to perform — recognised at the annual function.

  • Additional assignments

  • Debates & elocution

  • Quizzes

  • Recognition at the annual function

Nobody walks alone

Whether the work feels too steep or you’re already racing ahead — the cell has a programme for you, and somebody to walk it with.
