The Health and Physical Education Lab at IAMR is designed to help B.Ed students gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience in promoting physical fitness, well-being, and holistic development in school environments. The lab provides future teachers with the tools, equipment, and methodological training needed to conduct physical activities, sports sessions, and health awareness programs effectively.
Well-equipped with sports apparatus, fitness tools, first-aid resources, and demonstration materials, the lab enables students to learn about body movements, exercise techniques, safety guidelines, and health education practices. Through structured practical sessions, trainee teachers develop competencies in organizing games, preparing lesson plans, conducting drills, and motivating students toward an active lifestyle.
The lab plays a vital role in strengthening the pedagogical skills of B.Ed students, ensuring they understand the importance of physical education in a child's overall growth-physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially. It empowers them to become confident facilitators who can integrate sports, fitness, and health awareness into the school curriculum.
